Blue skies. Blue water. Who knew there were so many shades of beautiful blues?

We cycled past Key Largo early in the day and with plenty of time to ride to Long Key we took our time to marvel at the water, the sky, and the kamikazi lizards scampering across the bike trail.

Every once in a while one of these would lumber across like he owned the trail.

It was another near perfect day of cycling but the icing on the cake was the sweet tent site Tom found at Long Key State Park where the sites are walk-in only and beach front. Past hurricanes have shut down the regular camping area so it’s quiet with only four beach front camping sites.

We got all checked in and then cycled back a mile to get a bite to eat and a bevvie or two. There must be something about big chairs in Florida. I don’t quite understand it but we most always stop and take pics.

After dinner, there were solar showers to enjoy and then into the tent. Some of our family members (the Key West Roadies) are already on their way to pick us up. Just two short days of riding left.

Good night from Long Key.

Awesome ‼️😎 That Marina Club with boats in air is right next door to where I stayed. Amoray Dive Resort in Black water Bay. Enjoy 🍀

We passed a whole bunch of dive shops and I was wondering which one you went to. Cracks me up…. All the boats in the air. 😂

So glad you could get a quiet walk in site to savor the beauty of the Keys before you end the ride. It’s a beautiful place. We are looking at going back next year?? Now on to the 7 mile bridge. 👏

Yes the 7 mile bridge is on our “to do” list today. Our fam should arrive tonight about 9pm in Key West. We are camping just outside of Key West on our last night – maybe Baha’i Honda!

Beautiful! As we drove highway 1 last year, I was like a kid ogling at all of the sights…so unbelievably pretty and different from the Midwest! Enjoy the moment my friends and bring that sunny sky back home with you! Are you flying back or driving? Pedal on 🙏😎

We have seen soooo many different sites peddling across the country. We started in the mountains, rode through the desert, hill country, swamps, bayous and rice fields and now we are below sea level counting coconuts. It’s been a good ride! Annie and her husband and John are driving down to pick us up!

It’s kind of a catchy tune. Just two more songs until the grand finale when we get home and I do a recap vid. The sun better come back to Indy before we get there!

Awesome ride. You must be so excited to be so close to KW. Are you able to internalize what is about to happen?
