Ireland’s West Coast | September 2026

On September 1, we’re trading Colonial America for Coastal Ireland when we begin pedaling from Cork to Londonderry along Ireland’s spectacular west coast.

Our northbound route is a blend of EuroVelo 1, known for its quieter cycling roads, and portions of the iconic Wild Atlantic Way. Powdered wigs, hoop skirts and swords will be left behind as the Cuttys introduce us to Ireland’s dramatic coastlines, quaint villages, rolling green hills and the people and places that make Ireland so special.

We expect rain, wind, and climbs (we’re looking at you Patagonia ) but some questions remain… Will there be a ‘dog of the day’? Will this bike tour be more like a vacation than an episode of Survivor? Will Tom be able to split the “G”? Will Deb be crocheting Ireland’s national bird to display on her handlebars?

As usual we’ll share the highs, the lows and all the surprises in between on our 1,300 mile journey as we trade red, white, and blue for every shade of Irish green.
