St. Vincent de Paul

The St. Vincent de Paul Society is an international organization of about 900,000 lay men and women in 113 countries who join together to offer person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering.

Volunteers at the St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVdP) in Indianapolis serve the marginalized in Central Indiana by providing food, clothing, furniture, and household items. In addition, SVdP offers their clients access to a free legal clinic, health clinic and very importantly, an optional program called Changing Lives Forever (CLF) whereby those seeking a path out of poverty, can begin evaluating their choices, garner resources, build positive relationships and make changes.

Almost 4,000 volunteers at SVdP joyfully serve the poor in central Indiana by either helping individuals and families who visit the pantry and distribution center or, those who require home visits. Time and again during our volunteering with the Society, clients comment how grateful they are not only to be helped but that they are treated with dignity, patience and respect.

Tom and I are both humbled and honored to work with such committed volunteers who have a love and calling to serve the poor.  As we lift up this holy endeavor in our daily prayers while we pedal our way across the country, we are raising funds for St. Vincent de Paul that will be used specifically to 1) continue to purchase more nutritious food for the Pantry’s clients and 2) continue to develop and offer the Changing Lives Forever program.

If you would like to make a contribution as a way of cheering us on and supporting SVdP, we need to go a bit old school.  Although donations are accepted online using credit cards, we are unable to keep track of your donation to properly acknowledge you or ensure your donation supports the above.  Please consider taking an extra step and writing a check (I know who writes checks nowadays) to make your donation.

Make checks payable to Saint Vincent de Paul and mail to:

Deb Gardner

Any amount will be greatly appreciated.  All donations are tax deductible.  Thank you!
